Never happier than when out walking in the countryside observing the ever changing weather patterns and seasons, I felt compelled to try my hand at land and seascape painting. I started with acrylic paints but soon found that oils were more sympathetic to my style of painting. I am inspired by different light conditions and the different moods and colours of the sea, clouds and countryside. Today I strive to paint some of the scenery that surrounds us in this beautiful part of Dorset but I also create paintings completely from memories.

I have successfully participated in a number of exhibitions in Lyme Regis. Having recently moved to the Bride Valley I look forward to creating a body of work relating to the local area.
